Soft Glam Makeup Look
As promised I am revealing the products used to achieve this Soft Glam Look I did on a beautiful Client Recently !
My favorite kinds of looks are looks that enhance my client and not cover up their features. I like to use makeup as a tool to show them how beautiful they already are! I never want someone to leave feeling like I made them pretty . I want them to see that they are indeed beautiful already and the makeup applied just illuminated that existing beauty. So .. Lets Get to it!!!
Skin Prep is so important to achieve a beautiful outcome. Skin is probably my very favorite thing to do during the makeup application. I have been told it shows and am so grateful for that! I always start by asking my client to tell me about their skin so that I can assess what products I should use to get the best possible outcome on the skin. For this particular "normal to dry" client I prepped the skin with my Beauty Counter Rose Water and followed that with their Day Moisturizer. Rose water Is great because is hydrates, tightens and reduces pore size.
Foundation- I used the Mac Face and Body Foundation. It is a sheer coverage foundation great for people who have great skin but just need a bit of evening to the tone of the skin.
Concealer- For this look I used the Mac Studio Finish Concealer. It is very full coverage and great for those areas you need that extra coverage. Because it's pretty thick in consistency you can sheer that down using a damp beauty blender .
Setting Powder- I used the Beauty Counter Mattifying Powder to set the face.
Bronzer / Contour- To contour I used the Nars Laguna bronzer in the hollows. To warm that up I added the Beauty Counter No. 1 Bronzer just on the areas the sun would naturally hit, on the cheek bones, the forehead and lightly down the sides of the nose.
Blush- I used the Beauty Counter Blush In Tawny/ Whisper. It's a super sheer bronzy peach duo.
Highlight- I am a huge fan of the Mac soft and gentle highlighter . I use it on almost every client .
Lip Color- I mixed a lip cocktail as usual ! Makeup Forever Rouge Artist Intense lipsticks in shades MAT1 and MAT5 .
Brows- Maybelline Brow Precise
Eyeshadows- I used Mac "Soft Brown" Low in the crease and outer corner , then deepened that with Lorac Pro Matte "Chocolate". In the Center of the lid I used Urban Decay "Side Car" and at the inner lid I used Urban Decay "Sin". Under the eyes at the lash line I added Urban Decays "dark horse".
Mascara- Mabelline Lash Sensational
Liner- I used the Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Liner In Black. We did a super thin line just along the lashes to conceal the lash band .
Lashes- Kiss Lashes In the style "Poise" These are QUICKLY becoming a favorite of mine.
